His ridability, temperament and achievement in the sport of Dressage are all features which can not be overlooked.
Paganini was trained and competed by Bert Rutten to the Z2 level in the Netherlands. In 2004 he was sold and imported to Canada. Paganini made his international debut at the Prix St. George level on the prestigious Wellington FL circuit in 2006. Fallowing this, he returned to Europe where he competed in his first international Grand Prix in Dortmund, Germany. This stallion remained active in competition in both North America and Europe for nearly a decade. His sport results earned him the prestigious title of “Crown Predicate” within the KWPN studbook. Paganini’s most notable achievements in sport are winning the 2008 “Best Stallion” award in Zwolle, Netherlands. Having been a strong contender for the 2009 World Cup in S’Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, Having been the first reserve based on the written Equine Canada Criteria for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky. On top of this Paganini was short listen for the Canadian National team for many years.
While based in the Netherlands Paganini only produced 53 offspring in his limited time as a breeding stallion. His offspring proved to be exceptionally good and earned him the third position in the KWPN studbook for producing S level dressage horses at 9.4% behind Rubels and Jazz. Fourth place went to Painted Black.
Paganini passed away in the spring of 2021 at the age of 23. His legacy lives on through the handful of offspring he produced in North America throughout his sporting career.
